ingredients

–  fresh asparagus –  water – olive oil – ground pepper –  parmesan cheese – lemons wedges (for serving)

Add the water & trivet to the Instant Pot

Place asparagus onto the trivet, laying them out as flat as possible.

Close the lid, turn the valve to sealing  pressure cook for 0 minutes (yes, seriously).

why is the cooking time zero? 

Raw asparagus spears are thin and will cook as the Instant Pot comes to pressure! If you were to continue cooking once it reached pressure, they'd be overcooked & mushy.

Once the time is up, turn the valve to venting for a quick release.

Remove the pot & transfer them to a serving platter. Toss olive oil, salt, pepper  parmesan & serve!
